Apple kicked off its "Summer of Music" in Japan on Wednesday. The program includes free music from the iTunes Music Store in Japan, collectible iTunes Cards, and live music performances at Apple Retail Stores. The music cards let customers choose three free song downloads, and also features free downloads from Spank Rock, PE'Z, Amusement Park on Fire and Maximum The Hormone. In store performances will include Ko Kimura, K Dub Shine, Daishi Dance, Gomes the Hitman and DMBQ.
Apple has retail stores in Tokyo's Ginza and Shibyua districts, Osaka, Sendai, Fukuoka, Nagoya Sakae and Sapporo. Performance schedules and store directions are available at the Apple Japan Retail Web site.
