Zune to Come Pre-loaded with Music Videos

Music label EMI has struck a deal with Microsoft to pre-load Zune media players with music videos. According to Reuters, EMI confirmed it will provide Microsoft with videos from groups like 30 Seconds To Mars and Hot Chip.
Microsoft's Zune media player and download service are expected to hit the market in time for the holiday buying season. The company hopes it can take Apple's market share with its products. Currently the iPod and iTunes hold over 70 percent of the world-wide media player market.
Representatives from EMI stated that Microsoft plans to include music videos from other record labels, too. Music labels including Warner Music and SonyBMG have not commented yet on the EMI statements.
Analysts expect that Apple will release at least one new iPod model before the holiday season to refresh its product line. A new iPod nano and a larger screen video capable iPod are both likely candidates.
Experts also think that Microsoft's move into the music player market will hurt companies it has already partnered with to make MP3 players far more than it will impact Apple.
