Apple Highlights RAZR V31

Motorola's new RAZR V3i is an iTunes-compatible version of the ever popular RAZR flip phone, and Apple is featuring it on its iTunes Web site. The phone links with iTunes just like an iPod, but only holds 100 songs.

The iTunes ready RAZR V3i.

The RAZR V3i is available only through Cingular in the U.S., and you can learn more about the phone at the Moto with iTunes Web site.

Thanks to TMO reader Michael Hooper for the heads up.

Still only 100 songs. While it IS a (rather cool) RAZR (rather than anemic ROKR), it's not really crossing over into the MP3-player (a.k.a. iPod) territory. For those shopping for phones, though, it's a nice (and enormously popular) choice, and now it plays iTunes, which ain't bad.

I'm planning on getting a RAZR in January to replace this cheap Audiovox that came free with my plan. Unfortunately, all the iTunes phones work only with GSM, while my carrier uses CDMA.
