iPod shuffle Tops Amazon Holiday Sales List

It's no surprise the Apple's second generation iPod shuffle is a top seller for Amazon. Currently, it holds the number one slot in the company's electronics section.

The shuffle isn't the only iPod that's selling well at Amazon. The silver 2GB iPod nano is the second most popular item, and right behind that is the 30GB black iPod. The pink 4GB ipod nano is in eighth place.

The only other MP3 player to make the top ten list is SanDisk's 8GB SDMX4-8192 Sansa e280.

The rest of the top ten most popular electronics items at Amazon include the Philips 6.5-inch digital picture frame, Canon's PowerShot SD630 and A540 cameras, and the 1GB Kingston Data Traveler USB flash drive.

The second generation iPod shuffle has been a popular item ever since it was announced in September. It didn't officially hit store shelves until the end of October, and has been selling strong ever since.

Meanwhile, the black Zune isn't even in the Top 50. And brown and white Zunes aren't even Top 200.

Way to get smoked, Microsoft. LOL!

A MAJOR caveat: that list changes hourly. If you'd been following it in the runup to the Christmas season (that's pretty much gone by now), the leaders were Canon digital cameras, often in first and second, with iPods following. The Shuffle worked its way up through the list, but took quite a while to get into the top 5.
