IPO at Macworld - Luna alarm clock speaker system now shipping
Thursday, January 11th, 2007 at 5:00 PM - by
iPod accessory maker XtremeMac started shipping its newest iPod product this week, a combination alarm clock speaker system dubbed Luna that sells for $149.95.
Luna is billed as "the world's most intelligent alarm clock for iPod" and backs up that claim by featuring two alarms with independent source and volume controls. In addition, the alarm clock can gradually raise the volume from wake and sleep and allows snooze time to be specified anywhere from 1 to 60 minutes, while the sleep timer can be set from 1 to 90 minutes.
Luna features a dimmable LCD display on the front that displays the time and also serves as the control panel to specify settings. Audio is handled by "two precision speakers and a two-channel amplifier."
Luna is compatible with all dock-connector iPods with the exception of the 3G iPod.
