iPhone Goes to the Oscars

The 79th annual Academy Awards aired on Sunday, and Apple was there as a sponsor showing off its first commercial for the iPhone. The commercial featured recognizable clips from TV shows and movies of actors saying "Hello" into telephones, and ended with an image of the iPhone and the words "Coming in June."

Apple's new iPhone ad.

Steve Jobs announced the iPhone during Macworld Expo 2007 in January. The device combines an iPod, cell phone, and Internet communication tool into a single handheld unit. It is scheduled to be released in June in the U.S. with cell service offered exclusively through AT&T.

If you missed the Oscars, you can still see the iPhone ad on the Apple Web site.

Don't know if its a good ad or not... the things stutters like a b*tch when I try to view it on Apple's website. Pretty much unviewable.

A little jerky first time through for me but fine on second viewing. Guess their streaming settings are a bit off...

Notice the name of the guy on the iPhone: John Appleseed
