Apple VP: Movie Downloads Coming to Europe

Pascal Cagni, vice president of Apple Europe, confirmed that movie downloads are coming to the iTunes Store in Europe before the end of the year. The news surfaced during an interview with the French publication Les Echo, according to Macworld UK.

The news should make iTunes users throughout Europe happy since many have been clamoring for movie downloads ever since Apple first announced the service in the United States. There is no word yet on when to expect movies to come to the iTunes Store in other parts of the world including Canada, Australia, and Japan.

Mr. Cagni also confirmed that the iPhone - Apple's combination iPod and smart phone - will start shipping in Europe during the fourth quarter of this year.

How about TV downloads? It's been an even longer wait for them!

This kind of whiny ingratitude is really very depressing. Do you think Apple is deliberately depriving you of TV shows for the fun of it? I'm sure they're doing their best to make it happen.

A simple "Thank you, Apple" wouldn't be out of line.

This is the dumbest comment I have seen on these boards for a very long time.
