Review - Bevy

Bevy by Mophie combines four products -- a protective case for 2nd generation iPod shuffles, plus a keychain, earbud wrap, and bottle opener.
Here's what it looks like protecting your iPod shuffle:

And here's what it looks like opening a tasty bottled beverage:

So that's Bevy.
The thing I find more interesting than the product itself is how it came to be. Believe it or not, Mophie produced Bevy because it won their contest at Macworld Expo last January. You drew a picture of your coolest concept for any of the newest Apple products and then turned it in at the Mophie booth. Expo attendees then voted on the top three concepts with the winner getting produced by Mophie as an actual product. Bevy, which was dreamed up by Jared Fiorovich, was that winner. I don't care for the Bevy that much but I do think the way it was designed is cool.
There's not much more to say about Bevy. My only gripe is that you have to remove the iPod shuffle from the case to open a bottle. That just seems wrong. Other than that it does what it's supposed to do and does it pretty well.
Bevy is available in your choice of colors to match your 2nd generation iPod shuffle -- green, blue, pink, orange, or silver.
The Bottom Line
If the idea of having a protective case for your second generation iPod shuffle, combined with a keychain, earbud wrap, and bottle opener sounds good to you, Bevy is just the ticket.
Just The Facts
Pros: Multi-function, choice of color to match your iPod shuffle.
Cons: Have to take iPod out to crack open a brew.
