iTunes U Comes to the iTunes Store

In addition to launching iTunes Plus on Wednesday, Apple also added free content from several universities to the iTunes Store. iTunes U will feature content from Stanford University, UC Berkeley, Duke University, MIT, and more.


iTunes U at the iTunes Store

iTunes U content will include course lectures, language lessons, lab demonstrations, sports highlights, campus tours, and other academic content in both video and audio format. Previously, iTunes U content was available only through special iTunes Store links provided by individual schools.

MIT's Open CourseWare includes a lot more than what is on iTunes U. You can find similar offerings at UC Berkeley and other schools; you just have to look.
