After Intensive Field Testing, iPhone Good to Go

After secret extensive field testing, sometimes to extremes, the iPhone has been declared good to go, according to Newsfactor.com.

A few, about 200 field technicans, have been testing the iPhone for AT&T for several months and reporting the results immediately -- to Apple as well. Sometimes the testing was extreme, involving dropping it, dousing it with water, and sweating on it during jogging.

The testers, in strict secrecy, had to take extreme measures to hide the existence of the phone and yet test it during typical conditions. A special sock helped them disguise the iPhone.

One of the testers thought the device is "good to go". For one of the most anticipated product launches of the decade, he added, "For the launch, I think we are there."
