iPhone Line Grows at Palisades Apple Store

Interest in Apple's iPhone seems high at the Palisades Apple Store in West Nyack, New York. The line of customers hoping to get their hands on the iPod smartphone combo when it goes on sale at 6 p.m. Friday night stretched through the mall, and was contained only by several well-placed stanchions.

Like other iPhone lines around the country, most everyone in line seems to have come prepared with camp chairs, drinks, and a MacBook to pass the time.

In Boulder, Colorado, a line began forming at 10 p.m. Thursday night, and an Orlando AT&T store line started at 10 a.m. on Thursday.
The iPhone will be available for purchase at 6 p.m. local time on Friday, June 29. It will be available at Apple and AT&T retail stores as well as the Apple online store. The 4GB model will be priced at US$499, and the 8GB model will cost $599.
