iPhoneDevCamp Brings Together iPhone Developers

Over the weekend, July 6-8, over 200 developers and attendees participated in the iPhoneDevCamp in San Francisco. Inspired by BarCamps and MacHack, the goals were to develop web-based applications and optimize sites for the Apple iPhone. The very informative keynote presentation has been posted.

The event notice said that "attendees will include web designers, developers, testers, and iPhone owners, all working together over the weekend to improve the web experience for iPhone. Development projects will include both solo and team efforts. While some attendees will wish to work solo during the event, we encourage attendees to team up, based on expertise, to work in ad-hoc project development teams."

The event was held at Adobe Systems in San Francisco.

Session covered what was known and not known about the iPhone, Javascript, optimization for bandwidth, AJAX, and emerging markets.

The keynote presentation has been posted which provides an overview of what is known and unknown, what to use and what to avoid on the iPhone, and more.
