A movie application, Movies.app for iPhone was posted on Sunday. The iPhone Web 2.0 app allows the user to enter a Zip code, look up local movies by theater or movie name and more.

Once a movie has been selected, the display shows running time, genre, rating, and show times. The user can view the trailer, buy tickets, and call up a map to the theater.

Wow all of these high quality, well designed apps by experienced, professional developers really makes me wish that there was an native API and I could download apps and install them on my iPhone locally. Lots of ugly user interfaces and nasty icons for programs with stupid names would be the perfect way to jazz it up. And I bet most of them would crash almost as often as Safari does. And I could always run system restore every time they mess up my iPhone too badly. Damn you Steve Jobs!
