Review - Case-mate Signature Leather Case for iPhone

It's only my second week as an iPhone owner but I've already received 4 or 5 iPhone cases. So far the Case-mate Signature Leather Case is my favorite for several reasons.
First, I like the fact that the belt clip is not just removable, but when it's removed the back side of the case is almost flat. Some cases leave a screw or stem sticking out the back when you remove their belt clip; others have non-removable belt clips. This design works for me. I like using my case with a belt clip when I wear a belt, but since I usually don't, I like the case to be as thin as possible with the clip removed so I can easily slip it into my shirt pocket.
Here's what the back looks like with the clip removed:

The second reason I like this case is that my iPhone is fully functional inside the case (except for docking, which almost all cases prohibit). Some of the cases I've seen require you to remove the phone to use some or all of its features. This one lets the phone stay in the case except when docking it.
The third reason I find this case desirable may be the most important--it offers a significant amount of protection for my iPhone. First, it includes a self-adhesive screen protector sheet that covers the touch screen without impairing functionality. While several other cases I've seen include this, it's a feature I heartily approve of and consider a real benefit. I also like that this case is rigid and offers some amount of protection for the rest of my iPhone. While the package calls the rigid shell "impact-resistant,"I'm not sure how much impact I want my iPhone to receive. Still, it's better protection than some of the soft cases I've looked at.
Speaking of looking, last but not least, I think this case is very nice looking. The Napa leather is elegant and handsome and the workmanship is first rate.
Here's how it looks from the front:

The Case-mate Signature Leather Case for iPhone is available in three colors: Phantom Black (shown), Peony Pink, and Sienna Red.
The Bottom Line
So far this case has proved to be my favorite. I like almost everything about it and haven't found a single thing to hate. It's a bit pricey but if you're looking for a classy case that will protect your iPhone nicely, this is it.
Just The Facts
Pros: Smooth back when clip is removed, screen protector sheet, rigid shell, nice looking.
Cons: Not cheap.
