Boingo Offers Free iPhone Access In August

Boingo Wireless announced on Wednesday that it is offering free access to its Wi-Fi networks throughout August for all iPhone owners. The free access will be limited to 13 major airports throughout the United States and Canada.

The free access airports include:

  • AZO Kalamazoo/Battle Creek International Airport
  • BNA Nashville International Airport
  • BWI Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport
  • DTW Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport
  • EWR Newark Liberty International Airport
  • JFK John F. Kennedy International Airport
  • LGA LaGuardia Airport
  • MDW Midway International Airport
  • MSP Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport
  • OKC Will Rogers World Airport
  • ORD O'Hare International Airport
  • STL Lambert-St. Louis International Airport
  • YYZ Toronto Pearson International Airport

iPhone users can take advantage of the free access by connecting to the Wi-Fi networks in each airport, and entering their email address in the login field in the iPhone's Web browser.

Boingo states that it offers more than 100,000 hotspots around the world. Access packages are priced starting at US$21.95.

LOL. This would have been nice yesterday when my flight was cancelled. Oh well. At least I have something to look forward too!

Boingo's Smartphone/PDA wireless plan is $7.95/month, the laptop plans start at 21.95/month. Wouldn't the iPhone fall under the smartphone/PDA plan?
