Some iPhones Having Screen Issues, Apple Acting Quickly
Friday, August 10th, 2007 at 2:10 PM - by
A few Apple iPhones appear to be having a particular kind of screen failure, however Apple is responding quickly to the problem, according to Pocket-lint on Friday.
The problem, being reported on Apple's Support Forum, is characterized by a one-half inch high strip that spans the touchscreen's width and stops responding to input.
According to one user, this started after about 20 days of use.
Reports are that Apple is acting very quickly to avoid disgruntled customers and avoid a potential media frenzy. One user who reported the problem was proactively contacted by Apple, and arrangements were made for return and repair. This seems to be happening for all customers who have the problem.
"Today I am in awe of Apple support," one iPhone user wrote on the site.
