TMO Quick Tip - iPod "Speed Reading"
Wednesday, August 22nd, 2007 at 7:30 AM - by
Using your iPod or iPhone to listen to audiobooks is a cool way to catch up on those books you've really been meaning to get to. If you find, however, that you still don't have enough time to get through your audiobooks, you can speed them up.
iPod
- Choose Settings > Audiobooks
- Select Faster
iPhone
- Choose Settings > iPod > Audiobook Speed
- Tap Faster
Increasing the playback speed of audiobooks lets you listen to more content in a smaller amount of time, and it doesn't alter the audio quality, so your books won't sound like they are being read by whacked out chipmunks.
Also, if you find that that you can't keep up with an audiobook read at normal speed, you can choose Slower instead. This is handy when you are listening to an audiobook where the reader is talking too fast, or has an accent that's difficult for you to understand.
