iPhone Update 1.0.2 Includes Bug Fixes
Wednesday, August 22nd, 2007 at 7:50 AM - by
Apple released the second update for the iPhone on Tuesday evening. The company didn't offer much information about iPhone Update 1.0.2, and only offered the vague " the software includes bug fixes and supersedes all previous versions."
Like the previous iPhone update, iTunes will handle to process for you. iTunes will automatically check for updates once a week, but you can force it to check immediately if you want to apply the update now. Here's how:
- Launch iTunes.
- Connect your iPhone to your computer.
- Select your iPhone in the media list.
- Click the Summary tab.
- Click the Check for Update button.
While installing the update will fix certain bugs, it may also wipe out any hacks applied to an iPhone. If so, the hacks will have to be reapplied after the update.
iPhone Update 1.0.2 is free for all iPhone users.
