Podcast and New Media Expo - MXL Mic Mate Makes Any Mic a USB Mic

ONTARIO, CA -- MXL was showing Mic Mate, a studio quality USB microphone preamp, at this week's Podcast and New Media Expo.

One end of the device is a USB connector, and the other end is an XLR connector. It can provide 48V phantom power required by condenser microphones. The Mic Mate has an analog gain control, and also offers a fully balanced low noise analog front end. It has a 16 bit Delta Sigma A/D converter with a sampling rate of 44.1 and 48.0 kHz. The device is compact, measuring only 0.85" OD and 5.75" long.

The Mic Mate is priced at $79.
