jailbreakme Offers One-click iPhone, iPod touch Jailbreak
Monday, October 29th, 2007 at 9:45 AM - by
If February is just too darn long to wait for official third-party iPhone and iPod touch applications, jailbreakme.com can help fill your hacker needs today. A group of iPhone coders has developed a one-touch jailbreak method for both of Apple's handheld devices directly from Mobile Safari.
Jailbreaking is a process that hacks the iPhone or iPod touch so that extra applications can be added to the devices. The procedure that the jailbreakme team devised doesn't require users to download installer applications to their computer, enter cryptic command line codes, or do anything other than confirm they want to jailbreak their iPhone or iPod touch.
As part of the process, AppSnapp is installed so users can add additional apps directly to their handheld whenever they are connected to a wireless network with Internet access.
jailbreakme.com is free to use, and is compatible with iPhone software 1.1.1. Keep in mind that Apple does not support jailbreaking the iPhone or iPod touch, so use this hack at your own risk.
