iPod Shines for Apple on Cyber Monday

Cyber Monday, or the first Monday after the US Thanksgiving holiday, proved to be a winner for Apple and its popular iPod. Online demand for Apple's portable media players was so high that many retailers sold out, according to CNNMoney.


iPod touch: Out of stock at Amazon.

The 16GB version of Apple's iPod touch shows as unavailable at Amazon until December 4, and other big name retailers are in the same boat. While Amazon still has the iPod classic in stock, other retailers are now waiting for Apple to replenish their stock.

Assuming Apple can get more iPods into retailers hands, the customer demand will make for a nice holiday bonus for both the company and the stores that sell its products.
