Review - SportWrap Sport Armband Case

SportWrap is a lightweight neoprene sport armband/case. The one I tested was for my iPhone but the product is also available for the 2nd and 3d generation iPod nano, iPod touch, iPod classic, and iPod with video.

I like this case a lot. For one thing, the entire back panel is encircled with Velcro; inside the back panel there's an integrated pouch large enough for a key, identification, and/or some cash. You peel the back panel open to insert or remove your iPhone or iPod, or access your key, ID, or money. It's a lot easier than with some other cases, which have slits or slots you slide your stuff (iPhone, key, ID, and/or cash) through. In a word (actually in two words), the SportWrap way is faster and easier.

The front of the SportWrap is clear plastic, so you can easily see and use the iPhone screen. And the plastic is sturdy, yet thin enough not to impair your use of the touch screen in any way.

The whole thing is soft and stretchy so it's really comfortable, and since the sides are soft and thin, it's easy to use the volume, vibrate, and power buttons. And the adjustable Velcro strap means it should fit comfortably on biceps or forearms of almost any size.

Finally, the lining is moisture-resistant so your sweat will never taint your iPhone, and the whole shebang is hand-washable so it won't get really stinky (assuming you wash it occasionally).

The Bottom Line

The XtremeMac SportWrap case is one of the best (if not the best) active lifestyle cases I've tested. It's comfortable, allows full use of your device, and provides easy access to your device and other stuff.
