Apple Adds Movie Rental Support to 3G iPod nano

Apple released iPod nano (3rd generation) Software 1.1 on Tuesday. The release notes for the update are scant -- as usual -- but do state that it adds support for iTunes Store movie rentals along with bug fixes. The software update is free and available through the iTunes application.

They also need update the iTunes Store to make it easier to find movies that are available to rent. You can choose "Browse" and then sort the price column so that it groups "Rent" but not all movies that can be rented are listed that way and you still need to inspect a movie in which you are interested. I gave Apple some feedback, the squeaky renter gets Grease.

I agree that rentals have to be more prominent, but I think that change may come once the OTA store and the ATV software updates are released.
