It's the third week in January, so how are those resolutions coming?

Every year millions of people around the world make promises to themselves to make basic, positive changes in their lives, whether it's creating and sticking to a budget, losing weight, exercising or reading more, or something that you believe, in accomplishing it, will affect you or your family and friends fundamentally.

For instance, I've vowed to be more truthfulĘto those around me. To that end I will stop borrowing money from my friends and family. Instead I'll just asked them to give it to me. Since I never intend to pay it back being truthful about it makes life better for them and for me: They won't feel uneasy about asking for the money back and I can sleep better knowing that they won't feel uneasy.

I'm kidding, of course. I don't care if they're uneasy.

Anyway, if you've made a resolution to get into shape and you haven't started your fitness program yet (I know, that ankle has been bothering you again, but it's starting to feel better. Maybe another week and you can start running again.) I've got just the ticket.. rather, just the podcast for you: Ford Models Fitness.

You know you always wanted to slim down and bulk up, whip that body into the lean machine of a fashion model. Well, Ford Models Fitness introduces the exercise routines these models use to chisel the pects, abs, and glutes that makes them so camera friendly.

Take Chris Comfort's Push Up episodes, for example. Chris shows us the right way to do push ups that will help build muscles and give you the workout your body's been craving.

Chris Comfort shows us how to do crazy-mad push-ups in Ford Models Fitness

There are 2 episodes on push ups. The first starts off with the familiar push up, but with subtle twists. The second part adds several advanced push ups that I wouldn't try without first making sure my insurance is paid up. I never knew there were so many push up variations. Maybe you can challenge yourself to see if you can do all the variations. In the end your body will thank you.

There are many more episodes dealing with all manner of fitness, so check out Ford Models Fitness and get a routine going.

Perhaps you are so out of shape and all you need is a bit of a tune up -- maybe some stretching and deep breathing. Yoga could be what you need. The Ford Models have that covered as well: Ford Models Yoga.

Model and expert contortionist, Tara Stiles, shows us how it's done with easy to follow lesson on breathing, stretching, posture, and all things yoga.

Just because the movements are slow does not mean they don't require strength. On the contrary, you'll find that these workouts can be every bit as intense as a session in the gym, especially if you are new to yoga.

I like the Wakey-Wakey and the Yoga for Hangovers episodes. Obviously very useful for those who sleep and drink, but not necessarily at the same time. These two episodes are fairly low impact routines (except the headstand). Ms. Stiles is not hard to look at and is a surprisingly good instructor.

Other episodes takes you through various routines designed for relaxation, digestion and so on. I think it might help if you know a little bit about yoga routines, but it isn't necessary. So, check of Ford Models Yoga at the iTunes Store.

OK, now that you are physically fit you might want to concentrate on your mental fitness, and the best mental workouts involve humor. No kidding: studies have shown that laughter increases the body's ability to ward off disease, reduces pain, makes you more alert, and the list goes on and on.

So, to help you round out your fitness resolution I'd like to direct you attention to Cockpit, a new Web comedy series that will definitely give your belly laugh a workout.

Meet the crew of Mile High Airlines as they welcome a new copilot. There's only one episode so far and it's only 3 minutes and 40 seconds long, but it's a funny 3 minutes and 40 seconds.

It's adult humor so don't let the young ones watch.

I can't wait for the next episode.

Good stuff.

That's a wrap for this week.

I should remind you that if you haven't been physically active for a while you might want to check with your doctor before starting off on an intense exercise routine, just to make sure everything is working right.
