Orange iPhone Sales Hit 90K in January
Thursday, February 7th, 2008 at 7:55 AM - by
iPhone sales in France continued to climb through January to hit 90,000 units by the end of the month. That number puts Orange a little closer to, but still behind, it's end of 2007 100,000 goal, according to CNNMoney.
Apple's combination iPod and smart phone went on sale in France on November 28, 2007 under an exclusive distribution deal with cell carrier Orange. By the end of December Orange had sold about 70,000 units, coming in well below its projected sales goal.
The cell carrier expects to sell between 400,000 and 500,000 iPhones by the end of 2008.
