Thursday, March 27th, 2008 at 11:35 AM - by
If you haven't been able to buy an iPhone at Salem's Rockingham Park Apple Store, it might be because two employees managed to steal 332 of them before getting snagged by the long arm of the law. Joshua Garrand and Christopher Nashed were ultimately charged with stealing US$132,468 worth of iPhones and attempting to resell them, according to the Eagle Tribune.
Store managers first contacted police in January 2008 after discovering that some iPhone inventory was missing. Salem, NH, police then spent the next three months investigating the case and ultimately arrested both suspects on March 25.
Mr. Garrand is being held in Essex County Jail in Middlesex, MA, on a fugitive from justice charge, and Mr. Nashed is being held in the Rockingham County Jail on $250,000 bail.
