AT&T's On-Again, Off-Again Wi-Fi Plan for iPhone
Thursday, May 8th, 2008 at 4:10 PM - by
AT&T has had a recent on-again, off-again affair with a free Wi-Fi plan for iPhone users at more than 17,000 AT&T Wi-Fi hotspots. AT&T's latest iPhone plan page no longer mentions the offer, and AT&T isn't commenting.
A cached page from May 4th (click on Plans tab) says that the data plan includes "Unlimited Data (email and web), 200 SMS text messages and access to AT&T's more than 17,000 Wi-Fi hotspots, including Starbucks all for use in the U.S."

However, today, the same page (click on the Plans tab) no longer shows that detail of the plan.
iPO contacted AT&T, and a spokesperson stated that AT&T is "not commenting on this issue."
