iPhone Price Missing from UK Apple Store

iPhone rumor mongers were tossed a nice bone on Tuesday when the price for Apple's combination iPod and smart phone disappeared from the U.K. version of the company's Web store. The missing price coupled with the iPhone's recent status change to "Currently Unavailable" will likely fuel rumors of the expected product refresh along with the possibility of a price change.

Analysts have been predicting that Apple would announce new iPhone models with support for 3G wireless data networks at its World Wide Developer Conference (WWDC) in early June. One rumor, however, placed the second generation iPhone release in mid May with a new tablet-style device appearing at WWDC.
Apple's U.S. online store home page still shows pricing info for the iPhone, and clicking through to the U.K. store's iPhone info page shows pricing info as well, so the missing price information could be nothing more than a temporary coding error.
