Telefonica Confirms Spain iPhone Deal
Wednesday, June 4th, 2008 at 9:50 AM - by
Movistar's parent company, Telefonica, confirmed on Wednesday that it has struck a deal with Apple to bring the iPhone to Spain. The news comes only days after a hidden iPhone promotional page was discovered on the Movistar Web site.
Telefonica's announcement stated only that it would be offering the iPhone later this year, but did not offer any other details. So far every cell carrier that has announced an iPhone deal with Apple has been equally vague and has not offering pricing plan information or official launch dates.
The number of markets Apple's iPhone will be available in by the end of 2008 has climbed well over 50.
