It's too bad. For about a year, Apple had managed to put a yoke on AT&T and had fundamentally changed the experience of owning a cellular phone. My take on this is AT&T has slipped their yoke and it's back to business (evil business indeed) as usual. Too bad. It was fun while it lasted.

I think I'll be hanging on to my original iPhone for awhile.

AT&T is already advertising the LG as all you'll ever need. And it looks like an iPhone in the ads.

I wouldn't be surprised after the AT&T contract expires if Apple started their own service. Billions in the bank for a rainy day or the right opportunity?

Let AT&T show them the ropes and subsidize Apple's learning curve. In the end Apple is the winner and AT&T is the bad guy.

Brilliant!

Now:

$39.99 Nation 450 450 Rollover & 5000 night/weekend and unlimited m2m + $20 for unlimited data and 200 texts = $59.99

With 3G iPhone:

$69.99 Nation 450 450 Rollover & 5000 night/weekend, unlimited m2m and unlimited data + $5 for 200 texts = $74.99

Adds $15 a month for me.
