TMO Quick Tip - iTunes: Resetting iPhone and iPod Warnings
Wednesday, August 13th, 2008 at 7:30 AM - by
The warning dialogs that iTunes displays, like to ask if you really want to delete applications from your iPhone, can get annoying after a while, so it's nice that Apple included an option to stop the dialogs from popping up. The problem is that Apple didn't exactly make it clear how to re-enable those dialogs if you want to see them again later on.

To re-enable the warning dialogs for your iPhone or any other iPod, start by connecting the device to your computer. Find your media player in the iTunes media list, Control-click (Right-click on Windows) the device's icon, and then select Reset Warnings from the pop-up menu.

This is especially handy if you disabled the dialog that asks if you want to transfer applications from your iPhone or iPod touch to your computer, but now want to see the dialog again so you can choose whether or not apps you deleted from your handheld are deleted from your computer, too.
Thanks to Apple Weekly Report listener Aaron Thies for asking the question because the answer, although simple, isn't exactly intuitive.
