Apple Says iPhone 2.0.2 Update Improves 3G Connection

An Apple spokesperson said on Tuesday that the latest iPhone software update, 2.0.2, improves communication with 3G networks. However, Apple stopped short of saying that all problems are resolved.

"The software update improves communication with 3G networks," said Jennifer Bowcock, according to USA Today

Recent reports, unconfirmed, place the blame for dropped 3G calls and slow downloads on the German maker of the 3G chipset, Infineon. Most reports have suggested that the problem is in software, however, and not the hardware. If that's true, the problem can be fixed with a firmware update.

Analysts such as Gene Munster with Piper Jaffray and Michael Gartenberg, formerly with Jupiter Research, don't think the issue is grave and is typical of early glitches in 3G systems.

User reactions, testing, and the Apple forums will give an indication of how successful the recent update will be and whether it solves the problems users have had with their iPhone 3G on the 3G networks. The problem has been experienced by only a few percent of users.

The problems have NOT been experienced by just a few percent at all. This is fascism in business, the media backing up the company. A very shallow study of the issue would reveal nearly all 3G iPhones are suffering from this problem. There's a F***ing big difference between 3% and 97%.

So where are your stats backing up a number like 97%?

Sounds like supposition and blind guessing to me.

3G sucks, but you all wanted it, right?

Again, provide the evidence for that claim.

If you had any friends at all and if they had iPhones just ask them. Nobody needs to prove anything to you Photodan aka guest. You're such an idiot and take things so literally when the previous comments were actually tongue in cheek with a hint of sarcasm. Push your chair away from the computer and actually start interaction with life humans in person. you'll learn that personalities can be expressed through language

Nice personal attack eugenio, aka "guest".

Photodan did not make the guest post. An anonymous guest did. I suggest you read your own post and take it to heart.
