CableJive Launches iPhone 3G Charge Converter
Friday, September 26th, 2008 at 3:05 PM - by
The iPhones and newest iPods work only on USB 2 and are incompatible with many older accessories that used FireWire. The CableJive iPhone 3G Charger Converter fixes the charging issue by converting FireWire power to USB and passes through other connections.
The device is only 1.4 inches (36 mm) long and acts as an intermediary between the new iPods and iPhone and the accessory. However, the device is designed to deliver power. If the iPhone or iPod is "not made to work" with the accessory, that will still apply.
