- Goldfrapp
On their latest CD, Supernature, Goldfrapp has put together a successful mix of 1980-era New Romanticism, German cabaret, and T. Rex glam that leaves you riveted even through the album's lulls. It's a great amalgam that sounds current without sounding at all dated.

Poe rocked my world with "Angry Johnny" (I want to kill you/I want to blow you/Away) and "Trigger Happy Jack" (Trigger Happy Jack/ You're gonna blow/But I'm gonna get off/Before you go), as powe

15 Year Old Podcaster Lands Corporate Sponsor
Wednesday, November 16th, 2005 at 3:00 PM - by Jeff Gamet
Emo Girl Talk, the brain-child of 15 year old Martina Butler, is the first teenagers podcast to score a corporate sponsorship. MobileCast Media has arranged for Natures Cure to sponsor the show, showing the rising commercial interest in podcasting.
The weekly podcast focuses on Ms. Butlers life and personal experiences, celebrity interviews, and Emo music, a growing music genre. She commented "I hope that my success paves the way for more teens to have their voices heard and that more companies will recognize us as an important consumer force."
The sponsorship marks a very focused effort on the part of advertisers to tap into the lucrative teenage demographic. Natures Cure sees it as a way to gain credibility with the 14 to 24 year old crowd.
Its also important to note that Martina Butler is the daughter of Michael Butler, of the Rock and Roll Geek Show podcast, and also (now) an employee of PodShow (the company founded by Ron Bloom and Adam Curry).
Emo Girl Talk is available at Ms. Butlers web site, and at the iTunes Music Store.
[Update: The story was updated to clarify that Ms. Butlers show is the first podcast run by a teenager to receive corporate sponsorship. - Editor]
