    • Massive Attack
    • "Black Milk" knocks me off my feet in this collection of moody and eclectic songs. Massive Attack uses samples and keyboards in a very unique way, but not all the songs pack the same punch.

    • Depeche Mode
    • Oddly enough, Playing The Angel is a return to form for Depeche Mode, even though it may well be argued that they never truly deviated from their roots in their more recent offerings. In the

    • The Redwalls
    • Wow! Perhaps my 5-star rating is simply because the Redwalls are not only new and fresh (none of them older than 22!), or perhaps its because -- despite their ages -- they are able to totally capture

    • This album bears every flavor of genius from the five records that came before. It is, I believe, the band's finest. With Physical Graffiti, Zep came raging back to their musical home territory -- har

AT&T Preps for iPhone Onslaught

AT&T stores are girding up for 6 p.m. June 29 - the time that Apple’s iPhone will go on sale. Stores have added additional staff to deal with customers, and managers are preparing for the possibility that they will run out of iPhones to sell within 48 hours, according to USATODAY.

Larry Carter, AT&T senior vice president of sales, commented "We fully expect one or more of our stores to run out of stock on the first or second day. My guess is the first day."

While iPhone supplies may be limited, staff won’t. AT&T has added 2,000 extra sales people to its stores for the initial sales blitz, and half of those will stay long-term to deal with the additional buyers the combination iPod and smartphone are expected to draw in.

Customers planning on purchasing large quantities of iPhone to resell, however, will be in for a disappointment. AT&T stores will limit the number of units individual can buy, but Mr. Carter did say what the cap will be. He added that AT&T plans to take steps to prevent "hoarding and reselling."

Apple has been surprising consumers with new iPhone features over the past few days, and now AT&T has been getting ready for one of its own: New service plans tailored to iPhone users. So far, there is no word on what those plans will include.

How well AT&T’s preparations work out remains to be seen. But with the volume of customers expected to be waiting when the stores open, coupled with the confusion of new contract options, expect to see some iPhone chaos next Friday.
