AT&T: iPhone Activation Issues Isolated, Mostly Fixed

AT&T said on Monday that iPhone activation issues have been mostly resolved. The problem affected only about 2 percent of customers, and were primarily those trying to convert corporate cell phone accounts to personal iPhone accounts, according to Reuters.
"We have resolved nearly all of the issues and we feel confident this is behind us now," AT&T spokerperson Mark Siegel said. "One by one, we worked to resolve (the problems) and now nearly all of them have been resolved."
AT&T also revealed that the iPhone sales over the weekend were the strongest of any device in the company’s history. "We’ve sold more iPhones in the first weekend than we’ve sold in the first month of any other wireless device in AT&T’s history," Mr. Siegel added.
AT&T shares closed up 35 cents, at $41.85 on Monday trading on the New York Stock Exchange. On Tuesday it was down slightly to $41.48 as of 12:30 PM EDT.
