Altec Lansing on Wednesday introduced inMotion iM616 and iM716, two new pairs of earbuds that feature Etymotic Research technology for 35db of noise isolation. The iM616 version (US$149.95) features enhanced bass and a black earplug and cord with a shirt clip. The iM716 ($199.95) model adds a high-definition audio mode and an inline controller for switching between that and the enhanced bass mode. Its controller doubles as a shirt clip, and its white form factor was designed to match the iPod.
Both pairs of earbuds come with three-flanged and soft foam ear tips so that users can find the ones that best fit their ears. They also come with a carrying case, a pair of replacement filters and a filter removal tool. Altec Lansing expects to ship the new products in late September. Product pages were not available on the companys Web site as The iPod Observer posted this article.
