Apple, ATI, Others Sponsor Kids’ Car Design Contest
Thursday, September 15th, 2005 at 3:00 PM - by Brad Cook
Apple, ATI, Group Lotus and Cosmic Blobs are sponsoring the "Blob Master" design competition, which is open to kids between the ages of 7 and 18. Through Oct. 15, contestants are encouraged to use Cosmic Blobs software to create a concept car and enter it in the competition.
All the entries will be judged by a panel of engineers and designers who work for Group Lotus, a UK-based sports car maker known for its Elise and Exige models. Winners will be chosen in the 7-9, 10-13 and 14-18 age categories. Prizes include iPods, ATI video cards, Lotus merchandise and copies of Cosmic Blobs software, which runs on Mac OS X v10.3 or v10.4 as well as Windows 98SE or higher.
