Apple, AT&T Settle Visual Voicemail Patent Suit

Apple, AT&T and eBay have agreed to a settlement with Klausner Technology over claims that the three companies were violating patents related to visual voicemail technology. As part of the deal, Apple, AT&T and eBay have all agreed to licensing terms, according to Reuters.
Klausner Technology founder Judah Klausner commented "The patent litigation with Apple has been settled. The patents have been licensed to Apple."
The company sued Apple and AT&T over the technology used in the iPhone’s visual voicemail feature, and eBay for technology in Skype’s Web-based calling service. Klausner Technology was asking for US$360 million in damages and future royalties over claims that the companies failed to obtain licenses for patented technology relating to sending visual alerts to computers and cell phones when a voice message is received.
Additional terms of the settlements have not been released.
