Apple Customer (Almost) Bricks his iPhone

An iPhone user, using Jailbreak, thought he had bricked his iPhone. However, the cautionary tale had a happy ending, according to posts at everythingiPhone on Tuesday.
On Monday, after attempting to use a hacking guide at ModmyiPhone, user speedemonV12 feared that he had turned his iPhone into an inert brick, called bricking the phone. He asked for some help on the forum and got it.
Another user who had been down that road provided some helpful counsel, and SpeedemonV12 was back up and running on Tuesday.
Customers who elect to hack their iPhone do face certain risks, and some extreme procedures with a slipped soldering iron will indeed turn the iPhone into a brick, but it’s nice to know that most software approaches are recoverable and that the community of Apple users on the Internet is also working together to help those who get into trouble.
