Apple Exec: 5G iPod Customers Love iPod Games
Monday, December 4th, 2006 at 3:00 PM - by John Martellaro
Apple customers love the games written initially by Apples internal game team and their 3rd party developer partners for the 5th generation iPods. This customer reaction, reported Tuesday by iPod Lounge, was revealed by Stan Ng, Sr. Director of iPod product marketing.
Apple has heard from yet more developers who have inquired about making games for these iPods. Mr. Ng said, "... were definitely encouraged by the developer community thats come out to us and said, ...hey, we love the iPod, we want to do things for it. " The Apple game team is working closely with those developers.
A team was formed within Apple to write and seed the iPod games Vortex and Texas Holdem. In addition, Apple partnered with four other developers for the first round of iPod games. The initial idea was to focus on the iPod user interface and have a lot of fun with whats unique about that product according to Mr. Ng.
