Apple Launches iPhone Developer Section at ADC Site

Apple Inc. officially opened up an iPhone developer section at the Apple Developer Connection Web site. The site includes information on developing Safari-based applications that will work on your iPhone, with specific sections for Safari Compatability and Development Guidelines.
Developers can make applications aimed at the iPhone via the Safari browser included with iPhone. This is different from a standalone application, in that one can access said apps only with an Internet connection. On the other hand, it takes the OKing process out of the hands of Apple and puts it into the hands of the free market.
As with all of the ADC, the iPhone developer site is aimed at giving developers online access to anything they might need to know to make their Web 2.0 and Ajax-based apps work on an iPhone.
