Apple Posts Details of Apple TV 2.2 Features

Apple posted a list on Friday of the new features in the Apple TV 2.2 Update. HD TV shows can be purchased directly, movies can be browsed by actor and director, and more.
In addition, when playing a movie, one can press and hold the Play/Pause button to access subtitles. alternate audio, and chapter selection.
There were several improvements to the playlists functionality. Finally, Apple has added a shortcut to get to the Standby Mode: press and hold the Play/Pause button for three seconds to instantly access Settings -> Standby.
The Apple TV software updates page documents all the changes made to the Apple TV software going back to version 2.0.
The list of security fixes for version 2.2 is posted in a separate document. Those changes fixed issues related to the handling of maliciously crafted movie and PICT files.
