Avanquest Debuts PodPresenter, iPocketBible For iPods
Monday, February 13th, 2006 at 2:00 PM - by Brad Cook
Avanquest Software is now shipping two Mac-compatible applications for iPod users: PodPresenter, which enables creating, editing, viewing and transporting PowerPoint presentations with an iPod; and iPocketBible, which lets users carry text and audio of the Bible on their iPods.
PodPresenter, which sells for US$29.95, installs on an iPod and runs from it, enabling users to create new presentations or edit existing slides by plugging the device into their computers, even if it doesn't have PowerPoint. It comes with templates and more than 130 drawings and autoshapes, 17 animation effects and 40 transitions.
iPocketBible, which sells for $39.95, loads into iTunes for transferring to an iPod. Individual books and chapters, or the entire book, can be loaded on the MP3 player. Professional narration was recorded by national radio host Mike Kellogg, while other voices were used to portray different characters. The audio and text can be synced.
Avanquest will also debut iPresentIT and IPDA at the end of March. More information about them, as well as product pages for the two recently shipped applications, was not available as iPod Observer posted this article.
