  • Supernature

    • 10 out of 10
    • Goldfrapp
    • On their latest CD, Supernature, Goldfrapp has put together a successful mix of 1980-era New Romanticism, German cabaret, and T. Rex glam that leaves you riveted even through the album's lulls. It's a great amalgam that sounds current without sounding at all dated.

    • Barenaked Ladies
    • These guys know how to put on a live show, and whomever recorded this knows how to capture one. Rock Spectacle is one of the warmest-sounding recordings I've ever heard, and totally fills a room at a

    • Belle & Sebastian
    • The Life Pursuit is a sort of Reeses Peanut Butter Cup. You get Belle & Sebastian's peanut butter (its wistful, often irresistible pop) dipped in a 'Have A Nice Day!' and glam 70s chocol

    • Tegan and Sara
    • So Jealous is the third album from these sisters, and easily the one to single out for an introduction to their music. Some people may not get on board with their vocal styles, which are slightly

Belkin Intros Flip for Mac mini, Two iPod Peripherals

Belkin Corp. on Wednesday introduced Flip for Mac mini, which shares the monitor, keyboard and mouse between a Mac mini and a second computer, as well as a pair of iPod peripherals: the iPod remote control TuneCommand and TuneTalk, which enables audio recording. Pages for all three products were not yet available on the company's Web site as The Mac Observer posted this article.

Flip for Mac mini (US$99.99) will ship in early fall and features touch-sensitive buttons for switching between computers, controlling the volume and ejecting discs. It also includes built-in cables, supports all USB keyboards and mice and works with any display with a VGA 15-pin HDDB connector.

TuneCommand ($49.99) will ship next month. It can control an iPod from up to 150 feet away and works through walls, ceilings and windows. It doesn't require batteries, automatically switching on or off when the iPod does. It includes a 3.5mm output for connecting the MP3 player to a stereo system, portable speakers or headphones. TuneCommand is compatible with 3G, 4G, photo and mini iPods.

TuneTalk ($29.99) will be available later this month. Compatible with 3G, 4G and photo iPods, it enables users to record any nearby sounds with its omnidirectional microphone. Its flexible neck enables users to better capture sound while an LED displays recording status.
