Beware the DTS Bomb on Blu-ray Discs

Some older A/V receivers with a modern decoder for DTS-HD Master Audio may need a firmware upgrade to properly deal with audio on a few, notable Blu-ray movies. A possible problem is the so-called "DTS bomb" that can drive speakers to their limits, startle the family and even wake the neighbors. John Martellaro didnit experience the bomb during the Blu-ray movie The Golden Compass, but he did have another related problem that sent him off on a strange odyssey. Read about it in his blog.
