BlackBerry Goes After iPhone with Curve

BlackBerry is taking a shot at Apple’s soon to be released iPhone with its new Curve. Like other BlackBerry models, this one sports a phone, email access, and a small QWERTY keyboard. But to make it more appealing to consumers instead of business users, it added a 2 megapixel digital camera, support for several different media file formats, a standard headphone jack, and a microSD memory slot.

The Curve also supports Yahoo! Messenger and Google Talk for instant messaging, BlackBerry Maps, and a trackball-based navigation system. All features designed to compete with Apple’s iPhone.
BlackBerry is also calling the Curve a device with "brains and beauty." Although there are a lot of features packed into its little case, it still looks pretty much like every other BlackBerry model - making beauty a subjective call in this case.
The Curve isn’t available yet, and pricing information hasn’t been released.
