CBS EyeMobile iPhone Video App Enables Citizen Journalism

Apple iPhone customers who download the CBS EyeMobile app can become citizen journalists, upload photos and videos to the CBS EyeMobile Website, update reports and track views.
The application was developed by the Seattle-based Treemo Labs, according to Broadcasting and Cable on Monday.

Features include the ability to track discussions of reports, discuss reports from other citizen journalists, update reports with late breaking updates, and watch CBS EyeMobile coverage of past events.
"We are very excited to be able to bring a cutting-edge application to iPhone and iPod Touch users," said Jeff Sellinger, executive vice president and general manager of CBS Mobile. "Soon iPhone users will be able to broadcast anything live from the street, essentially becoming walking televisions. This application enables any iPhone user to report news from their hometown or wherever they are. It also allows users to engage in nonfiltered reporting from real people. The EyeMobile application is the best of both worlds."
CBS EyeMobile requires the iPhone 2.0 Update or later and is free.
