CBS Working with YouTube on NCAA Tournament

Unlike its former parent, CBS has entered an agreement with YouTube to carry some content from the NCAA Basketball tournament, according to MarketWatch.
"Google's deal with CBS is typical of how major entertainment providers are willing to strike accords with YouTube for limited amounts of content. Google has tried but so far failed to sign broader content-sharing deals with big media firms," Ben Chamy reported.
At the end of 2005, National Amusements, controlled by Sumner Redstone, became the parent to the new CBS Corporation and Viacom, now separately owned corporations. Viacom, which recently filed a US$1B suit against Google, has continued "to distance itself from YouTube, and [is] focusing instead on broadening its own Internet video properties," the report said.
