Converting Any Song to a Ringtone, Hack Free

A fairly simple technique for converting any song in the iTunes library into a ringtone has been published at iPhone Atlas on Friday.
The procedures works for iTunes in both Windows and Mac OS X. It doesn’t require any 3rd party tools, Jailbreak, or any hacking of the iPhone in any way.
Of course, there is no guarantee that the procedure will continue to work in the future. The developer of the technique noted that it may take a few tries, however, for the track to show up in the ringtones. Moreover, the editing tool in iTunes 7.4 won’t recognize the song, so the user will need to edit the file to taste prior to loading it into iTunes.
